Design urn

Your loved one at home

Burnt Cork stands for design, in the most eco-friendly way, as material and in production. It will give you the choice to keep your loved one at home or grow a remembrance tree that will last. Sharing your memories and nurturing the tree is a way of processing pain in the most beautiful way.

The burnt cork, typically used and produced in Portugal, has a timeless design which can be personalized. Our urns can be used as a normal urn, to keep it at home or placed in the columbarium. These urns are eco and treated with UV+ filter.

If you’d change your mind along time, you can use this urn as a Remembrance Tree Urn as well. Ask your funeral home to place the ashes in a biodegradable bag and place in the container. Bury at your favorite spot and plant a seed of choice. Your loved one can become part of nature again and support cradle-to-cradle believes.

BURNT CORK. - 28x23 CM

INFORMATIONAL

Looking for an urn as a last resting place, isn't an easy task. Important to know are all the possibilities for you.

It is not allowed to scatter ashes where you want. You can either do this on the meadow provided at most of the burial places, on a private domain, or at sea. Otherwise, the law tells us we need to seal of the urn and keep this intact. You can always ask your funeral home to separate parts from the ashes in smaller urns so more people can honor and cherish this person. This could be in the shape of a small urn.
